most amazing sunsets can be seen here. although it was overcast we had a great time hanging with all the friendly people. some real characters can be found stumbling and or walking around at sunset time. its like a mini venice beach at times. drinks keep flowing and cameras snap off as the convoy of boats go by.

unforgetable breath taking sunsets. awesome views. great social place to hang and meet people. there are little shops and restuarants along this pier plus tons of boats for charter or rent. you can find jet skis bike rentals and everything else right in this one great spot. youve got to stopand enjoy the ocean and the sunset from here at least once

The sunsets are stunning, but the sun never sets on the good-timey atmosphere..
Overview
Mallory Square lies at the heart of Key West's historic waterfront. Named after Key West bigwig Stephen Mallory, whose claim to fame was being appointed Confederate Secretary of the Navy (a title grander than the fleet), the square's chief naval function is to load and offload enormous cruise ships, which dock there almost daily. Bordering it are historic buildings that once supported the local maritime industry, now restored and occupied by various shops and restaurants.
The Experience
Though the square offers attractions galore, its real draw is provided by Mother Nature--gorgeous, spectacular sunsets. The nightly Sunset Celebration is a loosely organized carnival of artists, performers, food purveyors and assorted craftspeople that could only happen in Key West. In addition to eateries and shops selling everything from sponges to cigars, Mallory Square is also home to the Key West Aquarium, Key West Historical Memorial Sculpture Garden and Key West Shipwreck Historeum.

Gbaby. Mallory Square is a nightly event that is a must see. Key West is one of our most favorite places to visit, (we make it to Key West at least 3 times per year) and the Sunset Festival is something we do every time we are there. The performers are great during the season, and easy to talk with.
