For tourists and literary geniuses, the southernmost tip of the U.S. is paradise.. The Background
Jimmy Buffett isn't the only person who's discovered the charms of this tiny island 90 miles from Cuba. It's been home to Ernest Hemingway and Tennessee Williams, but it's also been an escape from the fast life for many a mainland refugee. Life in all the Keys moves slower, but in Key West it also gains a certain madcap frivolity and laissez-faire attitude.

The Experience
Book a room near Duval Street (but not on it) in any of the many B&B's. Almost everything is within walking distance. Don't miss the Sunset Celebration at the Pier. Also try and hit the southernmost point in the continental U.S., located in a residential neighborhood at the other end of Duval. Yeah, it's touristy and a bit silly, but the folks back home will demand a picture, trust us.

PARADISE FOUND. Key West is one of the few places where you can go and feel like a local. Everyone is friendly and ready to have a good time. Sun and sea with a few good friends, life doesn't get much better than that! Even if it's raining, you can always do the 'Duval Crawl'.

Come to Key West to relax and enjoy life. Key West has a feel of its own. On one hand it is quaint and laid back and on the other hand it is a party town. The food is fabulous and the people are warm and friendly.

Sunset City. Key West is the place. People are friendly, the water is blue and the sunsets are the best the U.S.A. has to offer. A long beautiful drive from the mainland.

No Better Place!!!. Key West is the best place to have fun & relax all in the same place.......You never have a dull monemt in Key West. Check out all the sites while you are there!!!!!!!!

Key West is the ultimate weekend getaway. Key west is the ultimate weekend getaway. As a Miami native Key West as always been like a second home to me. The fresh sea air smacks you in the face on the relaxing drive down from Miami. With its Historical Attractions such as the Ship Wreckers Museum and Hemingway House as well as its exciting nightlife, Key West is sure to become your favorite place to be too. Be sure to check out The Chicken Store and The Haunted Ghost Tour while you're there!

Keys have it all. Being born and raised in Miami and loving the water and the outdoors the Keys and Key West is an excellent weekend getaway. The diving is the best in the country. Boating is an interesting way to explore the different Keys. Accomodations and attractions are excellent. The lifestyle is a great change of pace form the fast pace of Miami. Deffinetly a must see for out of town visitors.
