This park covers roughly 178 nautical miles of seagrass beds, mangrove swamps and protected coral reefs (the only living coral reefs in the continental United States). It also boasts tent and RV campsites, three small beaches, a gift shop, a snack bar and visitor center that features a 30,000-gallon saltwater aquarium. Here, the most popular activities are snorkeling and touring the surrounding reefs and mangrove swamps in a glass-bottom boat. That's not all. You also can sail away on the park's 24-person catamaran; rent scuba gear, canoes and kayaks; take self-guided tours; and fish. Of course, feel free to just lounge around on the beach soaking up the sun and the lazy, languid atmosphere of the Florida Keys.

best place to snorkel. If you're looking for the best place to snorkel or SCUBA, look no further. There's an underwater Jesus statue that is about 10 meters below the water that attracts a lot of traffic, but the best thing is the underwater wild life and of course, the coral.
