Terrible service-Mediocre food. We had plans for a schooner trip so we asked the waiter how long the average lunch would take. He replied 20 minutes so we were relieved that there would be no problem. We placed our drink orders first then a few minutes later we ordered our food. The first hint of trouble should have been when our waiter returned to ask our drink order. As we were waiting for our food, the host seated a couple a few tables away from us. When we realized that couple already received their burgers and we were still waiting we became concerned. We called over the host and informed him we had been waiting over 1/2 an hour for our food. He made some lame excuses and somewhat arrogant comments and the waiter claimed the problem was the "big burger" . Anyway after almost an hour and a missed schooner trip our meal finally did arrive--wrong. I requested no tomato on my club, which the waiter repeated, but I got tomatoes anyway and my husband's burger was missing bacon. No one offered any explanations for our aggravation. Oh, and there was at least one other couple seated near us with the same waiter who complained about how long thier food was taking. AND the don't take American Express.

Great customer service and food. This is a great relaxed place on Duval. From the time you arrive until you leave, and there is no rushing you to go, it is a relaxing place. Great selection of food and drinks. I have been there for both lunch and dinner several times and never had anything but great food and service. I look forward to going there again when in Key West.

Awful Customer Service. The food and the atmosphere were both pretty good. However, the service was absolutely awful. We had a party of 8 which meant automatic gratuity, and apparently very poor service. The waiter was incredibly rude to us and seemed annoyed when we asked for anything - including more water - which is apparently a HUGE request. We also waited over an hour for our dinner and the waiter was completely MIA until the food was ready.

When we tried to use more than 1 credit card to split the bill the waiter threw a fit, threw down the bill on the table and said he refused to run them. He stated the reason was "we're not equipped to run more than one credit card for a bill". This is a restaurant where entrees ranged from $25 to $40 and they can't run more than 1 card? Please.

Do NOT go to Mangoes when you are in Key West - there are many more friendly, fun establishments where you don't get treated like a piece of dirt. If you do go there - don't bring more than 2 people so you're waiter doesn't get automatic gratuity. You won't see him/her for the rest of the evening.

Watch the world go by over light, tasty fare and a cold drink under the sun.. In Short
Mangoes is the ideal illustration of the truism that sloth is the Keys' favorite leisure activity. As one of Key West's most popular lunch spots, Mangoes serves up light, simple fare during the day and heftier, more adventurous dishes by night. Lunch specialties include some of the only truly worthwhile conch fritters on the island; a rather dry wrap of roasted chicken, cheese and mango chutney; and a fat fish sandwich overflowing with grilled tuna.

Amazing atmosphere and food. The experience I had at Mangoe's was incredible. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The service was great and the servers were friendly and helpful. If you are just stopping by at the bar, I hightly reccommend the mangocolada!

Mangoes. Wow! I must say our best meal while staying in Key West. Our server was awesome, great atmosphere, food was not only nice to look at but it was very good. A very creative Chef who knows what he/she is doing. A must if you are to visit Key West. The outdoor dining and people watching is an added plus.

Top chef & staff stars. The staff make this place special -- always attentive without being in your face. The chef is very creative; and changes the menu constantly.
