Best Meal in Key West !!. My family has just returned from a week long stay at the Casa Mariana Resort in Key West, Florida. My eldest daughter had a hankering for Sushi, so we decided to try Kyushu since we passed it every time we left our hotel to get onto the main thoroughfare Truman Street. We arrived 30 minutes before opening (we did not know that practically every restaurant opens for dinner at 6:00) and decided to park in the rear. John, the head manager, was out back, saw us sitting in our car, and kindly invited us in for drinks even though they were still officially closed. John was very personable, entertaining, knowledgeable, and made it his personal mission to enlighten us on their different Sakes and their many food selections.

The dinner of many varieties of Sushi Rolls we ordered was absolutely incredible! We feasted until we could eat no more! Our evening at Kyushu was without question the best meal we had during our Key West stay, and the best we had in a long, long time anywhere.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who truly wants a memorable dining experience while in Key West.

BEST JAPANESE PLACE EVER!!!!. ok me and my husband moved to keywest we are huge fans of Japanese food but all we could find is benihana and thats not what we wanted so we found this little hidden place before heading on to duval and wow it has a zen garden a wonderful back room for more privacy and the food is great i always pretty much have the tempura bagel roll and tamago which is egg sushi roll OMG!!!! so Delicious all in all it was great the only thing i don't recommend is the fried tofu not the best i've had

Best Japanese Restaurant in Key West, By Far.... Kyushu Japanese Restaurant has to be one of THE best-kept hidden secrets in Key West. Definitely known as ?THE? locals place. You first walk into a beautiful Zen garden, and then continue into their very comfortable dining room, (with private rooms in the back, as needed). In the main dining room sits a gorgeous sushi bar (and also has an extensive hot menu you can order from the kitchen.) The entire menu is very reasonably priced. The staff is fabulous, including the Sushi Bar Chefs who continuously interact with their guests. They have a full bar, along with all varieties of sake and plenty of different Japanese beers. The location is fabulous, right down town: 921 Truman Av, for those who like to walk, and also what most people don?t know is that there is plenty of parking around the back. I frequent this place every time I come to Key West, fom Boston, and wouldn?t have it any other way. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Please give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Best Sushi in Key West. Appetizers range from gyoza to soft shell crab to miso soup. Dinner is a variety of sushi rolls, and sashimi. Many options for all types of levels of sushi eaters including a bar where you can watch them make the sushi for you. Atmosphere resembles a water fall with pond, including fish. Staff is very friendly and observant. Food was brought in a fast manner and presented beautifully. Recommend to anyone going to Key West and who loves sushi to go. Moderatly priced, but much cheaper and higher quality than any other sushi restaurants on the island.
