Perfect Spot to Stay!.
We came to Key West planning to stay at the Doubletree, and then I found out how far it was from all of the action. We happened onto the Seascape, and we are so glad we did. The Inn is located just steps off of Duval St. Our room was wonderful -- spotlessly cleaned, beautifully Key-West decorated, and very well appointed. The details really make this place -- not your average cheap hotel-room coffee maker, but one that has a thermal carafe. TV/DVD/Wireless Internet included, but who wants to stay in the room that long when there is so much to do? Also, the "expanded continental" breakfast is great!
Beth, the owner, greeted us and even walked out to the street to save me a parking space that happened to be open in front of the inn. Then she told us all about the local happenings, the best places to eat and drink, where not to wander.
OK, no place is perfect, and I never trust a review that sounds to good to be true. The pool is dinky. It's an oversized hot tub. No lap swimming here.
Beth told us there is a nearby hotel that has an huge infinity pool on the ocean front, and for $5 they'll let you use their pool and facilities for the day, and even give you a drink for free. I haven't gotten down there yet -- too many other things to do!
This is THE place to stay -- I know we'll be back every time we come! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
The best part? 1/2 the price of the Doubletree!
