Windswept Ac & Appliance 2735 Overseas Hwy, Marathon, FL 33. Friendly, fast, efficient....Could have told me anything and I would not have known the difference. Went from downstairs unit back to to air-handler upstairs numerous times. Repaired, explained and gone. Really pleased with Windswept Ac & Appliance Marathon, FL 33050. We live in Big Pine Key, FL

Windswept AC & Appliance. As full-time residents of Marathon for 11 years, we have dealt with numerous small businesses and contractors. Windswept AC & Appliance tops them all! Over the years, they have repaired & replaced our AC, replaced & serviced our refrigerator, and fixed our washing machine. On every occasion, they responded immediately to requests for service. And, on every occasion they sent qualified, pleasant repairmen/deliverymen, and were on-time. Bonnie even went to bat with a manufacturer (without our asking) to replace a problematic refrigerator that was past its warranty, because it was the "right thing to do". They didn't even sell us the item - I was amazed. They are honest, fair and hardworking, and have definately earned our ongoing business. Thank you Bonnie & Joel. Kim & Tom

Bogus Repairs. Both Bonnie and Joel appear to be responsible business owners. Not so. I called them to repair my Ruud AC unit. My system was iceing up and would shut down if the fan was left on auto. They came out six times. Each time they came out they miss diagnosed the real problem. They replaced the expansion valve, replaced a relay, they charged and leak tested my unit etc. Each of these service calls did not fix my unit.

But ol Bonnie charged me labor anyways! I called Bonnie and asked (politely) why she was charging me hundreds of dollars for service calls, and they never fixed my unit. What do I do keep paying you until one day you finally fix the thing? It was like this, "let's try this" lets try that" never properly diagnosing anything. I have no problem paying for a job that is finished correctly. Bonnie got on the defensive and kept talking over me. I tried to explain to her that I am a small business owner of inspection machines and that I never charge my customers until the problem is fixed. If my guy cannot fix it, I dont charge my customer until the day my service guy makes the permanent repair. She said, "I dont know how you stay in business". Well Bonnie, I stay in business with personell that arent parts replacers. My tech's are trained to inspect, diagnose and replace the defective part. If Bonnie wants to fight this in small claims court, great! I cant wait to tell this to the judge!

Friday the 13th Horror. Chuck was as bad as Joel and Bonnie . They charged me to hook up my heat strips even know they forgot to do it when i paid them to install the unit , and had them do yearly service twice each year for five years and they never even seen this until the cold of Jan 2010 . just ask around about how Bonnie is . They even hire people that just got out of prison because knowone will work for them , but if you get Charle you may be ok , go with Artic-Temp or Dana's or even Mathon A/C before using this company . On Appliance's go to Home Depot not this company . just call Home Depot and ask home Depot about (Joel and Bonnie) thier Ad should read (shut your windows , shut your doors , here comes windswept your going to be hot after this.)

Our records show that the above situation has never happened. We value our customers and make every effort to accommodate. If the above situation had happened there would not have been a charge. Chuck has retired after 8yrs with us.Our other employees have been with us for some time. We get many compliments on our staff. I would be interested in speaking with this customer at any time if they would give me a call.

Great products, service and prices.... Ok, I admit I have purchased several appliances from these people for my rental units, but for good reason. The salespeople are very informative. Their installers ROCK! And, they do provide service at a fair price.

They carry a good amount of middle of the road equipment (great for rentals) and also some very nice high end brands (for home).

I've found their prices may be a little more than the internet and warehouse places, but it's worth it for me to be able to talk to knowledgable people, to let them track the delivery, and to be able to get service from the same company...if neccessary

I have been stuck in the middle of the Seller-Installer-Servicer-Warranty provider thing in the past and was left spending WAAAY too much of my valuable fishing time trying to convince the warranty people that the installer installed it correctly, or that my service technician was really factory authorized...to ever let that happen again. All the finger pointing headaches that are epidemic today are gone with a company like Windswept. I've spent more frustrating hours on hold in these cases than I care to remember. These guys just say "We'll make it right" and take it from there. Bravo!

Despite the fact that they seem to push GE, like every other GE dealer I've purchased from, they aren't pushy if/when you choose something else.

Like all appliance stores, it stinks (citysearch edited out my synonomous word that rhymed with "bucks") that you can't operate the appliances before purchasing (like the gas stoves!!).

Overall, I'd gladly purchase appliances from them in the future.
