Dock at this secluded resort with its own private island.. The Scene
Serene and secure, this 16-suite hotel was re-landscaped in 2002. It now features a limestone grotto, a bocce ball court and a small wooden bridge leading to a sandy private island. The island has its own separate pool, as well as a cabana, terrace, hammock and gazebo. Guests can arrive by boat and dock right on the property. This Robinson Crusoe-style retreat is perfect for wedding parties.

The Details
The suites are divided into Garden, Sea View and Deluxe Sea View in ascending order of seclusion and access to views of the sunset. All offer private gardens or terraces, and a few of the deluxe rooms have open-air Jacuzzis. The decor is a combination of antique Mexican and boutique minimalist, and along with the expected accoutrements, you'll find robes, DVD players and fresh orchids. You can have breakfast and lunch served in your room or poolside on the communal terrace. In-room massages are available, and a complimentary yoga class is offered five mornings a week on the beach.
