Horrible experience, beware!. I'm just recently moved from California to Key West. I've heard great recommendations from other dog owners that John is great groomer. My dogs have been groomed since they were puppies and are routinely groomed every couple months, so they are very accustomed to the whole process/environment. I brought my teacup Maltese and Yorkie in to Grooming by John thinking they were in good hands. He butchered my Yorkie sooo bad that he didn't charge me for her groom. He said that he nicked her, showed concern, and asked to be advised if any further issues arise. She was in carrying bag when I received her and I didn't notice the severity until I brought her home. Thats when I noticed that not only did he completely slice open a 1cm wide cut on both sides of her legs where they join her stomach, but cut up her nipples too. I cried. She is in a lot of pain and I feel that everyone should be aware of this experience I had with this groomer, and take my advise and go else-ware!!!

JOHN IS the BEST!!!!. He is a magician with his siccors, he made my toy poodle look look like a pricess, I will never take her any where else. He took his time with her, which I loved and was done just when he said he would be. Coco was not scared of him at all... and she is not very fond of men This is her new man!!!

There when we needed him most!. We have been using John for our persian cat and 3 shih tzus for a few years. Our cat is elderly and recently fell gravely ill. I called John thinking that removing the weight of her hair would help her arthritic joints. John agreed to take her in the following day. He patiently worked on her for short periods of time throughout the day so it wouldn't exhaust her. It is comforting to know that during a time of need, John is there for us!

I've heard great things about John. I can't wait to take our poodle here. The vet I go to says he's the best!! I had a horrible experience at another groomer on the island which resulted in a nasty ear infection.

I am totally confident with our vet saying he is the best on the island!!!

see you soon. I still have to get this ear infection under control with meds before I bring in our dog..

John is GREAT!. John is absolutely great. I've been taking my Molly to him for the past 3 years. He is friendly and does a great job!

John Is The Very Best In Key West. John, Has always does a marvelous job on our Miss Duval. She loves going there. And, she always comes out looking like the Princess that she is.

I do not understand why these people said anything bad about John. He is wonderful.

I am a retired Dr. of Zoology and I know animals quite well.

So, if you want a professional job done on your baby...then go here.

HORRIBLE. I took my dog to John the groomer and was treated badly. He never finished my dog and initially told me he would take approximately 2 1/2 hours to groom my dog. When 4 hours had passed and I tried to call him without any success (left a message). I went back to his shop to see if my dog was done where John proceeded to tell me that he would not be done for hours since I did not comb or brush him properly. When I questioned him about the 2 hours, he handed me my dog who had been bathed and brushed. I left with me dog who wasn't finished. I would not recommend John to anyone. He is arrogant and doesn't know how to treat his customers.

Horrible. I will never bring my dog back to that man!! She was so scared when I went to pick her up, I just ran out of there. Not to mention the hair cut was horrid and she still smelt dirty. Later I found out from a man that used to work with him, that he often used force with the animals that were difficult. I also met a man whos friends yorkie died at his shop not too long ago.
