LOCAL AND MILITARY BEWARE!!!! This place may be O.K. for renting bikes. However, after my recent visit to get my road bike and my wife's mountain bike "tuned" I wouldn't let them do anything to my stuff again.

2 tune ups and a couple cables replaced = $240

Not only did they end up $100 over what they quoted, the screwed up what they did do. My road bike makes noise in every gear, they screwed up my handlebar tape. The mountain bike makes the same noise and when I picked up the bikes my wife's bike was at the bottom of a bike pile. When I got it home I noticed a huge scratch in the paint.

I called twice to talk to the manager, they took my number and never called back. I wrote 3 emails, they never returned. So now I'm WARNING EVERYONE IN KEY WEST ABOUT THIS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I thought about taking the bikes back in, but who knows how much more damage and heartache they will cause.

"The Bike Shop" gives local discount and far better service (FYI).

Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, good prices on top of the line equipment. I went to Eaton Bikes on the recommendation of a friend. It was a very pleasant surprise. The staff was eager to help and answer questions. They have an excellent variety of products at reasonable prices. I was able to purchase a $1500 Kona Zing for $900 becuase it was last year's model. Anything they don't carry, the manager, Craig, will order and install. They gave me a bike fitting without being asked before I left the store with the bike. All of my questions were answered, and if they didn't know the answer, they weren't afraid to say so, even trying to find out right then and there.

The store has a variety of bikes styles, and they cater to the experienced biker with top of the line racing and road bikes, where most other places on the island do not. They also rent bikes, which are in perfect condition or it doesn't leave the store. They put customer safety as their top priority. They stand by their product and their service.

Overall, their customer service is exceptional, their knowledge is way above par, and they appear to really care about what they do. I HIGHLY recommend them for any repair work, rentals, or purchases.
