YOU WON"T BE DISAPPOINTED. It was our first time on a fishing charter and we didn't know what to expect. Well, we were not disappointed. Captain Billy and his First Mate were so knowledgeable and they made it so our experience was "SMOOTH SAILING" It was the best ever! We caught a variety of fish, (sailfish, tuna, bonita, wahoo, etc) and at one point, we had fish on all 6 lines! My kids had the best time of their lives and still talk about how Captain Billy knew what was on the line before it came out of the water! I think this was one of the best trips we have taken and cannot wait to go back to see him again!

Great day of fishing. we fished with Capt. Billy and his mate from Conn. Great day of fishing 25 Mahi Mahi's. Both were great host. This is not our first time with Capt. Billy and not our last. After the day of fishing he advised were we could get the fish cooked for dinner and it was a great dinner. If you are going to fish in Key West! This charter is the best!!!!

Best fishing trip ever.... My girlfriend took me down to key west over the weekend for my birthday. little did i know she had booked a fishing trip for me. The trip was booked for sunday morning. captain was very attentive and called the night before to confirm the trip. when I arrived to the marina our captain Billy Wickers III and the mate were waiting for us by the boat. both the captain as well as the mate were extremely friendly throughout the whole trip and made the trip much more fun. we caught about 3 sailfish, 1 dolphin, 2 yellow fin tunas and 3 wahoos. overall it was an amazing experience and I'll look forward on doing it again very soon.I will definitely book my next fishing Trip with Linda D. and will recommend it everytime.

7 Sailfish in 4 hours. Enough Said. This was the best fishing trip I have ever been on. The Captain was super friendly, very knowledgeable mate who was also cool to chat with and hangout ( not that much of that went on since we had 2 sailfish on at the same time for basically the whole trip).

I will be back.

I own a fishing apparel company called The Blue Coast Company. Linda D will be our go to charter from now on.

Not recommended - It was like pulling teeth to get our fish. CAPTAIN WILLIAM WICKERS III FROM THE CHARTER BOAT LINDA D V.

A group of 6 of us went out on this charter boat in Jan 2011. Yes we caught fish. We caught 9 kingfish, 3 dolphin fish, and a 25 lb Wahoo. While we were fishing, I told the first mate that we wanted to catch and release the rest of the fish that we caught for the day. The first mate would not hear of it! I was a little pissed because we paid for this fishing charter. If we want to catch and release, then so be it!



When we returned to the dock, the first mate (I think his name was Dan) filleted the fish. He gave us our three dolphin fish and told us that those were more than enough for us. (We had a total of 11 in our party). I asked him about the kingfish and he said it is not that good to eat. He however did fillet one of the king fish for us.



I asked what he was going to do with the remaining fish and he told me that he was going to sell it for 'cat food'. I then said that we wanted to catch and release when we were out fishing and asked why he refused to let us do that. I told him that if he was only going to get $1.50 per lb for this fish to be made into cat food, then I would rather see the fish released after the catch. His response; "cat's need to eat too." What a joke!



After this comment I noticed that we still had the 25 lb wahoo that had not been filleted. I asked why it was not filleted for us and the first mate said well you didn’t ask. I told him “I’m asking now.” He did fillet it and bag it; however when I went and looked it was only HALF of the fish. I asked him what about the other half and he said “I thought that half would be enough for you.” I then said “FILLET IT, WE WANT IT.” How much clearer could I have been!



It was a battle to get our fish cleaned by these guys. I’m not sure how aware the Captain of the boat was on what was going on. But I will NEVER recommend these scam artists to anyone. We ALL felt like we were being scammed. I have been on other fishing charters and have NEVER had to ask to have my fish cleaned and bagged for me. It has always just been done and there is never any picking and choosing by the first mate as to which fish get cleaned and filleted.

We had paid them a nice tip prior to the fish being cleaned. I wish we would have waited to give them a tip because they would have gotten ZERO!

We also asked around afterwards about the Kingfish and were told the Kingfish are excellent eating! We were told we had been scammed. I also read this on the internet: “king mackerel are primarily marketed fresh. They may be sold as fillets, steaks, or in the round (whole).”

A Time For Fun. My middle Son was feeling down. So to revitalize him. We came to Key West. Our 2nd day on the Island We went fishing with Capt. Billy and his 1st mate. I found both to be knowledgeable and friendly. We shared the boat with a family from North Carolina. They were very pleasant and we all got along well.Everyone (even the kids) caught fish. It was a good day. I would do it again.

Also Billys 1st mate filleted the fish for us and did a great job. Thanks to both of you.

Linda D Great Charter Boat!!!!!. For my boyfriends bday i wanted to surprise him by taking him on a fishing trip. I called the Linda D charter boat and booked a trip with them. Our experience was Amaaaaaaaazing!!!!!! To start off, the captain was very nice at explaining everything at the beginning of the trip.. the rest was to us.... We had alot of fun catching a variety of fish. We even took one home to be mounted in the office. I will recommend this Charter Boat to anyone whos looking to have an unforgettable experience......

ANOTHER MEMORABLE FISHING TRIP. fishing again with the charter boat linda D V was another successful fishing trip, we had a great time caught lots of fish , it was constant action all day . no doubt we got the best captain in key west.

Worst Charter in 30 years of fishing.. Capt Billy is the worst Capt I have ever encountered. He was very disinterested in fishing. He is foul tempered and ill mannered. He is more suited to pumping gas at 7-11. Stay away from this charter.
