I go to Key West every year and this is a place I usually stop at. It offers great Italian food at a reasonable price for an Island. The fettuccine Alfredo is excellent and their bread is like the real Italian bread you would get from NY.

It is not the best Italian I have had, but I think it is about the best in Key West. I eat there almost every year. I have never had bad service and the portions are freaking huge. Plan on taking some home with you. Prices are pretty good, it is not upscale, but not midscale either. Overall nice place and good food and service.
Yum Yum!!

This restaurant is awesome. The food is wonderful. The prices are average for Key West ($15-20/entree), but the portions are HUGE. Try their spin on bruchetta (like nothing anywhere else), and their calamari. They are famous for their spaghetti and meatballs - bring a friend to share it with! The service is good, and it has a great ambience. Romantic, yet casual. The only con? Their location - tucked away at the south end of Simonton St, far from Mallory Square and most tourist attractions/hotels.
- Pros: Food, portions, ambience
- Cons: location - far from tourist spots

Im a big fan of Italian food, but I like it even more when its served at a reasonable price, in a friendly atmosphere and in a healthy quantity without loss of quality. I think that sums up the overall picture of Abbondanza Italian Restaurant in Key West. You can eat here tonight and go back to your hometown after your visit to the Keys and come back next year and get the same good food and service. It is the most consistent of all the eateries on the island.
I have had almost everything on the menu since my arrival in Key West a number of years ago. I dont know if I have a favorite dish, but if I were up against a wall Id have to say it was the veal Marsala. The sauce is full bodied and the presentation has you ready to go when it hits the table. All the meals are served with a small house salad with a creamy Italian dressing that is close to the best Ive had anywhere, fresh crusty bread (dipping olive oil to go with) and more then enough on the main course plate then you can imagine (hence the name Abbondanza).
A couple of things that one should note; the last visit I made there they were charging for refills of soft drinks and certain sections of the eating area are colder and some warmer. I have had to ask the staff to adjust the temperature each time Ive visited. So, if you dont mind carrying a wrap with you and drinking wine with your dinner instead of soda youll have one of the most pleasant meals of your stay in the Southernmost City.
Yes, you can get Italian food in any locale in the country and if youre in Key West you will most definitely want to consume local fare, but its okay to try a more traditional food style while youre vacationing as long as it has a good local following. I have enjoyed every visit to this establishment and have never heard a bad word spoken by visitors. You can eat here with confidence and depart having been satisfie
Excellent venue for a cozy celebration!

Quaint and romantic, yet a wonder place to have a truly good meal with friends without breaking your bank.
I would not recommend taking kids under 16.
Locals love this place!!!

I know because I am one of them. You can't ask for a better Italian restaraunt. Parking is plentiful, A/C in summer - heat in winter, the menu is great and the food is outstanding. Portions are huge - its hard to finish a meal no matter who you are. The atmosphere is truly Italian. Romantic and fun. This is one of my most frequently visited places. Great for parties of 10 or less. Service is always good however, occasionally the host/hostess is not at the podium when you walk in.
- Pros: Food/atmosphere, parking/service, Value/portions
